The long-awaited and keenly contested Fusion 2011 Excellence Awards reached its final climax this week, when 24 winners in the various categories across the business in both Johannesburg and Cape Town had reason to celebrate, along with their colleagues and team members. The buzz already started in October, when high achieving individuals were nominated by their peers for their special efforts and achievements in the call centre throughout the year.
Call centre excellence awards finalists announced
The excitement reached a new level when the names of the 48 finalists in the different categories – including a ‘special achievement’ category – were released a week ago. For the Cape Town finalists, the great day finally arrived on Monday the 14th and for the Johannesburg nominees on Tuesday the 15th November.
Upon their arrival at work, both Fusion House in Cape Town and Life Centre in Central Johannesburg were festooned by balloons in the Fusion colours, and each winner's work station decorated with a chair cover, congratulations banner and screen poster, and – quite appropriately - gold balloons.
The proud moment for all the prize winners were made even more special with Exco members on hand to personally congratulate them and hand over their certificates and prizes. One of the awardees, Gino Solomons, summed it up nicely: "I would like to thank those that nominated and voted for me, it is absolutely a humbling experience knowing that one’s work and efforts have not gone unnoticed".
Top South African BPO Provider by 2013
Fusion MD, Johann Kunz, expressed his sincere thanks to Fusion staff for a great overall effort over the past year, which culminated in the company making great strides forward both locally and internationally. He had a special word for the fantastic contribution of the winners: “The success of a company is built on its people, and in order for us to become the top BPO provider by 2013, the company will need top performing people”.
He went on to say that Fusion’s management places a huge premium on rewarding staff members for their achievements; for ‘going the extra mile’ and making a difference in terms of customer service, individual effort and in the team environment.
A total of 27 employees were also rewarded for their loyalty to the company when they received long-service awards during a special ceremony at Fusion House. |
